The venue of the Japan × South Asia Co-Creation Conference 2025

We held an international public–private co-creation conference connecting the futures of South Asia and Japan.

On August 5, 2025, the “Japan × South Asia Co-Creation Conference” was held at the International Conference Room and Multipurpose Hall of the First Members' Office Building of the House of Representatives.

Hosted by the Institute of Innovation Research, Hitotsubashi University and the Social Innovation School, and led by Seiichiro Yonekura, Professor Emeritus of Hitotsubashi University, the conference served as a forum to explore new possibilities for collaboration between Japan and South Asia.

A diverse group of participants — government officials, international organizations, business executives, startups, experts, researchers and students — gathered for lively discussions on education, IT, startups, foreign talent, public–private partnership and open innovation.

By bringing together the youthful energy of South Asia with the technology, management and implementation expertise of Japanese companies, the conference laid the groundwork for new partnerships in business, education, talent and solving social challenges.

With this conference as a starting point, co-creation between Japan and South Asia will continue to grow.
